Our journey in 2025 will be guided by the word of God in: Proverbs 18:15; Deuteronomy 6:5-7; 2 Timothy 2:15 and Galatians 5:22-25
Spiritual formation is the ongoing process of God transforming the believer’s life and character into the image of Jesus Christ through prayer, fasting, Bible study, worship and fellowship and is guided by the Holy Spirit.

Our 2025 Goal: Rebuilding the Church by allowing God’s spirit to lead us to become a more united, loving, and faith-filled community.
Rev. James Gibson, Jr.
Rev. James A. Gibson, Jr. spent his teens and early adulthood at Greater Temple under the leadership of his father, Rev. James A. Gibson, Sr. He left Greater Temple in 1975 to assume the position of pastor of the Community Primitive Baptist Church and returned to Greater Temple in 1994 as senior pastor following the death of his father.
